GOOD NEWS!!!!! READ ALL ABOUT US!!!!
Hazardville Memorial students are practicing wellness and fitness!
As an extension of physical education class at Hazardville Memorial School, our students are walking or jogging and recording their mileage (25 times around our gym is a mile and 15 times around our courtyard is a mile). Our students and staff love our Enfield community, so we decided to see if we could travel (walk or jog), to other communities in the United States with the name of Enfield. So….we will calculate our mileage each week and chart it on the map in front of the gym. We have already recorded 55 miles, so we stopped in Enfield, Massachusetts on Friday! In order to visit all of the Enfield towns we have found in the United States, we will need to complete 3,506 miles!
Our students have been doing laps and will be participating in our monthly family wellness walks. The dates are listed on the monthly home calendar and our website, if you can join us! We welcome your support and mileage!
We realize that many families may want to do some mileage exercise at home to keep fit…..so we have provided a calendar for your refrigerator to calculate your family mileage to add to our chart total at the end of each month. Children can return the charts on the last day of every month to me!
Thank you for your support! Enjoy the exercise!
